Lukla Flight Cost

Usually, Ramechhap Airport in Manthali or Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu are the departure points for the Lukla flight. The travel from Kathmandu to Ramechhap airport takes four to five hours. Due to heavy air traffic, Lukla aircraft are diverted to this airport during the busiest trekking seasons.

Lukla is served by numerous airlines and aviation companies. Tara Air, Summit Air, and Sita Air are a few of the often used carriers. These airlines fly tiny fixed-wing aircraft that can handle the short and difficult Lukla airstrip, usually Twin Otter or Dornier.

The airline, the season, and how far in advance you book are some of the variables that can affect the price of a Lukla flight. Peak trekking seasons are spring (pre-monsoon) and fall (post-monsoon), when prices are normally highest.
